The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported recently that more women than ever are opting for breast implants. In addition, hundreds of thousands of women worldwide choose breast augmentation every year.
Most patients are delighted with their breast implant results, but it IS surgery, and a lengthy recovery is required. So it’s worth asking the question: Is it worth getting breast implants?
Keep reading to find out why breast implants are worth it for most women.
1. Breast Implants Last A Long Time
Breast implants are more advanced than ever, with most lasting at least 10 or 15 years. Some breast implants may even last for life, but this isn’t typical. Your surgeon or doctor will monitor your breast implants periodically to see if they need replacing.
The most common issue with implants is a rupture. While this isn’t a severe health risk, the defective implant will need to be taken out and replaced.
Saline implants show when there’s a rupture, but you often don’t know with silicone implants. So if you have silicone, it’s essential to have an MRI every few years to see if they are intact.
2. Recovery From Breast Augmentation Is Easy For Most People
After breast implants, you will need a few weeks to bounce back to your regular activities. For most patients, though, it’s primarily mild pain and tightness for a month or so. Then, after a few days, most patients can return to work.
Most patients can return to light activities in one or two weeks and more vigorous workouts after four to six weeks.
3. Look Symmetrical
More women than you think have asymmetrical breasts, where one is noticeably smaller than the other. This can make you self-conscious, and it’s often challenging to find the right bra.
Breast augmentation makes your breasts the same size, and the surgeon will also make sure the nipples are symmetrical.
4. No More Push-Up Bras
Many women have tried push-up bras to look bigger and more attractive. But this takes a lot of effort and often does not give you ideal results. You also have the same chest you didn’t like to begin with when you remove your bra.
Breast implants give you a long-term fix that gives you self-confidence.
5. You Can Have Other Procedures, Too
Many women don’t stop at breast implants; it often makes sense to have other procedures to save time and money.
The most popular option is a breast lift with breast implants. Lifting the breasts can be especially important when making the breasts more prominent, so there isn’t any sagging. In addition, a breast lift can return the sagging breasts to a higher position, so you look younger and more attractive.
Other popular options are a Brazilian butt lift and a tummy tuck.
6. Look Natural
A common concern is your new breasts won’t look natural. This is a legitimate concern because not every surgeon will ensure you look like yourself.
But when you choose a highly-skilled surgeon, you can be confident your breasts will look natural. Also, you can help by choosing a breast size and projection that suits your body. For example, if you choose a size that is far too big for your body, it’s understandable it won’t look natural.
Another option for women who want a small change is breast augmentation with fat transfer. This subtle procedure uses liposuction and fat removal from the abs or legs and injects it into the breasts.
7. Restore The Breasts
As we age, get pregnant, and possibly breastfeed, the breasts may sag and deflate. While others may not notice, it can be upsetting to see you don’t look the way you once did.
Breast augmentation is a fast, effective, and long-term solution to drooping, empty-looking breasts. You will look younger, feel more attractive, and your self-confidence will soar with breast implants.
8. Reform The Breast After Mastectomy
Breast cancer is a physically and mentally challenging disease. Mastectomy may save your life, but it can leave you feeling not like yourself. Seeing the change in the mirror is one of the more difficult challenges after cancer surgery.
Silicone or saline breast implants can restore the breast to a more natural look and feel and make you feel more like yourself. Many women also find that breast augmentation helps them feel as if they overcame cancer and are back to the way they were.
9. Improves Your Curves
Many women were born with small breasts, and while beautiful women come in all sizes and shapes, society may make women feel like they are lacking something.
Breast implants are beneficial for adding volume at the top of the breasts, giving you a more feminine shape and curves.
10. Boosts Self-Confidence
The best benefit of breast implants for millions of women is how it makes them feel about themselves. But, you know how it can be when you see something about your body you don’t like.
You just think about it all the time, and probably make it worse than it really is. For example, if you don’t like the appearance of your breasts, it can affect your self-confidence. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Choosing breast implants is an effective way to enhance your appearance and self-esteem, so give them a try soon.
