Skinny BBL: With the popular trend of a curvy, large butt, both men and women turn to plastic surgery to obtain a result that is hard to attain with only diet and exercise.
Rear-end augmentation with silicone implants once was the only way to enhance the butt. But more patients today prefer a BBL Beverly Hills, a natural way to improve the buttocks with your fat.
The procedure involves using liposuction to remove fat from other parts of the body, washing, and processing it, then injecting it into the buttocks. BBL surgery offers impressive results with smaller incisions and less infection risk than butt implants.
A Brazilian butt lift is traditionally done on people of average weight, but it’s now possible to do the procedure on skinny people, too.
Why Have A Skinny BBL?
Genetics, diet, and exercise level determine the body’s shape. All of us have natural tendencies to store fat in different areas, and the structure of your skeleton is a critical factor in deciding your overall shape.
For people who exercise a lot, eat healthily but are unhappy with their rear, a BBL can create a shapely look that is impossible to achieve any other way.
Women and men may have a BBL for many reasons:
- Improving proportions between the lower and upper body
- Getting that elusive hourglass shape
- A desire to increase the size of the buttocks without silicone implants
- Fitting better into clothing
- Reducing fat pockets in the abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, and other areas
- Improving the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and legs
Getting A BBL If You Are Skinny
Some thin patients may be told they are too skinny for a Brazilian butt lift and need to have butt implants instead. However, technology and surgical techniques have improved recently, making a BBL possible for a skinny person, also called a Skinny BBL.
The procedure is effective if the plastic surgeon is highly skilled in harvesting fat in people with a low body mass index (BMI). The surgeon needs to use special tools and methods to maximize fat harvesting for BBL for the procedure to work well.
Generally, people with a BMI of 22 or less need a Skinny BBL because it is more challenging to harvest enough fat for the BMI to be adequate. Your surgeon will use aggressive liposuction and possibly gather fat from other areas, such as the knees, arms, and inner thighs.
Patients can enjoy excellent results with a Skinny BBL, providing more projection and volume to the buttocks. However, the outcome is often more subtle than a traditional BBL, with the shape being more critical than volume.
The plastic surgeon may suggest you gain weight before the procedure if you can. They may also recommend using dermal fillers combined with your natural fat to provide better results.
The amount of fat needed for a Skinny BBL varies, but it’s possible to have good results with only 200cc of fat per buttock. However, a skilled surgeon may harvest up to 500cc of fat for each side, which is plenty for an impressive result in thin patients.
Skinny BBL Recovery
BBL isn’t as invasive as silicone butt implants, but you will still need a few weeks to recover. Expect about two weeks of swelling, bruising, and discomfort. The surgeon will give you prescription medication to manage any pain you have.
Also, you will not be able to sit on your rear for several weeks. This is especially important because the transferred fat will need time to ‘settle in’ and develop a blood supply. In addition, sitting on your rear can damage the new fat and affect the results.
You also should sleep on your stomach for the first few weeks, and avoid driving and sitting on your rear. It helps to purchase a donut pillow to put under your bottom when you need to sit.
Here are some additional tips to speed your BBL recovery:
Eat Well And Rest
After any surgery, your body will need to recover from the trauma, and this requires a healthy diet and rest. Some of the best hormones that repair the body only go through the blood when you are asleep. So, it’s essential to get at least eight hours of sleep per night.
It’s also essential to eat a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. Avoid processed foods and drink plenty of water.
Elevate And Ice
Using ice or cold compresses and staying off the rear will control the blood circulation to the butt and will lower the fluid accumulation in the surgical site. It’s good to ice the rear for 15 or 20 minutes.
Lying on your tummy with your rear elevated with a pillow also will help keep the swelling down.
Take It Easy
It helps to go for a daily walk as soon as possible, but don’t do anything more than that for several weeks. Vigorous exercise increases blood pressure, increasing swelling in the rear.
Other activities to limit during your recovery are sitting on the rear, and squatting or stretching the legs as much as possible.
Have you been frustrated by an inability to enhance the size and shape of your rear? Then, BBL surgery for skinny patients could be just what you need!
